Mini Gumball Machines

How CUTE are these!

There is one where the part that holds the candy is round and another where it is square.

And they WORK!

The lid comes off so you can fill it with candy. Then you turn the little handle and open the door to dispense the candy.

You may remember the gumball machine that I made last year...

It was pretty plain and did not work,

I finally figured out how to redesign it. I am so pleased with it.
I even had a really good day and was able to make some videos to show how they are assembled.

There are 4 different videos but you can watch the first part here and then link to the other ones.

I think they are lots of fun and super cute. What a great way to dispense candy. :)

You can purchase the cut files and patterns in my Etsy shop.

Small Heart Boxes

Well, you may remember the heart boxes that I made last year? I designed a different version this year. I kept looking at my most recent card and came up with a color scheme for one of these little hearts

Here is a shot with the card and the box together so you can see how I patterned the box after the heart on the card.

I used blue card stock and embossed it. The I rubbed Walnut Stain Distress ink over the raised areas. I just love this look. :)
This particular box is approximately 3 1/2 by 3 inches. Perfect size for a sweet little treat!.

I could not stop with just 1. I had to make more. In fact, I plan to make several for a project I am working on. They would probably be great to make for a class or friends too.

Here is a picture where you can peak into the inside.

I added a multi-layered flower on top.

Here is a different color combo I made using some My Mind's Eye 6 by 6 paper; Fiddlesticks.

I will have a the cut files available in my Etsy shop.
I have some cool ideas for more of these little boxes, so stay tuned. :)

Oh! In case you missed last year's boxes, here is a picture and links to the posts and video.

My Mind's Eye Heart Card

Hope you have been keeping warm. We are getting a rare bit of cool weather here in the Houston area.

Today's card was made from a 6 by 6 pad of My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally paper. I just love the colors in it.
I used one of my heart cut files and a daisy cut file. I embossed the heart and inked it to bring out the raised embossed area. I added a few touches of Stickles and stamped the Love sentiment in white.

Hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful week-end.

Glittery Butterfly Mini Album

I made this simple mini album using long envelopes. Then I proceeded to make it complicated! LOL

I started out with green #10 envelopes that I had left over from 2 Christmases ago. I followed Laura Dennison's instructions in this video from 2010.

Then I covered it in some K & Co. specialty glitter paper from the Merryweather line.
Since more is always better when glitter is concerned...LOL... I added some Art Glitter that my DH put in my stocking. (you got to love a man that buys you lots of pretty glitter :)

This is one of my butterfly cut files.

Here is one of my "pretty flowers" inked with Distress Stains and glittered on the edges.

I added some cardstock to cover the binding and stained seam binding around it.

I covered everything in patterned paper and added some embellishments from by butterfly and diamond edges cut files.

Some pages had 1 pocket adorned in pearls...
...and other pages had 2 pockets with pink rhinestones.

I covered some of the flaps with butterflies and others with my Diamomd Edged medallions with a Pretty Flower in the center.

Here is a look at all the tags.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures. I am going to work on my own mini album cut files to use instead of envelopes.  I will post pictures of it soon.
