Scarppin' Sista Blog Hop Day 2

Day 2 of the Scrappin' Sista Birthday Blog Hop!

Here is the line up:

7. Jani L. - www.papercompulsions.blogspot.com  <---Woo Hoo! You are half way through!

Hello and welcome to Christel a.k.a. Scrappin’ Sista’s Birthday Swap Blog hop day 2. We are celebrating Christel’s birthday with her.  Each month, she hosts swaps on her blog and we are highlighting projects that have been created using the swap items that we’ve received.

If you’ve arrived from Anita C's st Anita and Bugs, you are in the right place.  If you just dropped by my blog today, we don’t want you to miss not one project.  Go ahead and go tohttp://onescrappinsista.blogspot.com to start from the beginning.

For today's post I wanted to show you a couple of cards that I made from items I got  in the masculine embellishments swap from August.

This first card features an airplane made by Anita (you were at her blog right before mine)

It is called a peek-a-boo card and is really easy to put together.

Take 2 rectangular pieces of  card stock that are the same size. (Mine are 5 1/2 by 7 1/2)

Score at 1, 1 1/2, 6, 6 1/2

Cut window out of one of the pieces (this will be the front) I made a frame to go around it using one Of Penny Duncan's Nested shapes.

Then you place your pieces on strips of acetate, position, and sandwich the acetate between the 1 inch pieces on either side.

The clouds were from a recycled commercial greeting card.
I used the ends from the piece I cut out of the frame to decorate the sides.

When you push and pull the left and right sides, the images appear to move.

For the next card, I used this cute little sailboat.

It is a Z-fold card

I took a piece of card stock  5 1/2 by 11

Scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2 and folded it.

Thanks for joining us for Christel's birthday blog hop.
