Black and White Stripes with Gold

This was a fun card for a young lady. I really liked the black and white stripes with the colorful flowers and gold foil.

Multi-layer Pointed Petal Flowers

I like making flowers with lots and lots of layers. This time I changed the shape of the petals a little and make them pointed. Since I made up the flower, I made a new leaf for it too.

The flowers were cut from red cardstock and I inked the ends of the petals with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink. The leaves were cut from green cardstock and added Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink. The red glitter paste came from Creative Expressions and was applied using a Prima stencil.

Heartfelt Creations and light purple roses

I made these back in 2015. I don't think I ever shared them.

Multi-Layer Flowers

I started this card with some cheerful yellow decorative paper from an old Authentique paper pack. Multi-layer flowers were added which were colored with Worn Lipstick and Fossilised  Amber Distress Oxide Inks. The small yellow flowers were inked with Scattered Straw and Fossilised Amber. Gold Nuvo drops were added to the centers.

For the middle section, I used some Deco Foil Transfer Gel through a Tim Holtz stencil and some cool three colored foil from Deco Foil called Summer Rainbow.

Light Pink Roses

This is a card I made last year. I am pretty sure the papers were from Prima.

Alcohol Ink and Glitz

I am sure you have seen alcohol inks being used a lot lately. I bought some Yupo paper recently and decided to play. I really liked how much easier the inks were to use on Yupo than glossy cardstock. In areas where the inks pool, they dry a little tacky. Someone in the crafting world had the brilliant idea to add foil in those areas. I liked that and even added more glitz with metallic paint and tacky glue and foil.

The deer head was cut from vinyl then foiled with my Minc. Such fun!

Canvases instead of cards

So... It has been over a year since I posted anything on my blog. It was a tough year and I just needed a break. I still crafted though. (That will never stop LOL) I have sooo many craft supplies that I have to keep using. :)

I will be posting pictures over the next few months of projects I made but did not put on the blog. The papers will be a little out dated and I do not even remember all the supplies I used. I probably will not write much about them. I will just share the pictures.

Here are a couple of canvases that I made instead of cards. I really enjoyed making them and plan to do more in the future.

I used Distress paints, texture paste, paper clay that I molded and painted, and my handmade paper roses.

I have also started posting on Instagram. I've had the account for years and just never posted. If you would like to follow me and see pictures of some of my graphite drawings, watercolors, and acrylic paintings that I've been doing click below.

Heart boxes for Valentine's

I have made several little treat boxes for Valentine's Day. Above are some fry shaped boxes. I also made several little heart topped folded boxes.

Some of the boxes have an open heart at the top of the handle.
Others have a open window on the side.

Then I made a different style of fry box. I could not decide which style I liked best so I just included both in the cut files.

If you would like the cut files to make your own heart topped boxes,
you can purchase the files at my Etsy shop.

Dragonflies and Stationer's Desk

I am still trying to use up my pretty paper stash. These papers were oldies but goodies, from Prima Stationer's Desk. I just loved these papers which is why I have held on to them for so long.

My handmade Tattered flowers were inked with TH Aged Mahogany distress ink and then I added gold gilders paste to the edges.

I used a 12 by 12 for the card base then layered 4 by6 paper stacks along with some stickers and trims.

The gold foil touches were done using Minc paint and a TH stencil. By using a stencil and paint I could get a more rustic look that is not as perfect as using my laser printer.

I even added some paint to a wooden dragonfly and foiled it

Butterflies and fairies

The pictures for this card really do not do it justice. There are light pinks and greens with playful images of animals and fairies.

I layered papers & chipboard and added foil and sequins.

You can see on the back there is another little fairy peaking out.
I finished the card off with some of my handmade flowers inked with TH Tattered Rose.

pretty yellow

All my pretty scrapbook papers are piling up. I really need to start using them. I started with this older Authentque line called Classique Beauty. There are lots of cheerful yellows that stand out well against the darker colors in the line.

I layered several papers and added a butterfly and yellow handmade flowers. Black beads were perfect for the butterfly;s body and the flower centers.

The bold colors were perfect for a get well card. I typed up the sentiment and cut it out along with a couple of mats with my new Silhouette Cameo 3. (having fun with it)

I love to add a little extra touch to the back also.
