Flowers for swap

Been busy making flowers.
These are for a flower swap at

I used my tattered flower files on Bazzle Basics; North Sea paper. I inked the edges with silver. Cut my basic leaves out of the silver pain patch packaging. Added silver seed beads.
(see the tattered flower tutorial on the tabs underneath my blog header for more info.)

This flower was cut from Bazzle Basics: Chandelier paper. The leaves are from a shiny Recollections paper. They are both so cool in person. They have a metallic sheen to them.

I used my "just leaves" file and my "open rose" file.

I am going to call this "open flower" for lack of a better name.

I used 3 flower shapes in 1/4 inch increments. (ie 2.5in, 2.25in, 2in)
Any 5 point flower with teardrop shaped petals will work.

Hold each petal at the base (where the petal joins the center of flower).
Curl the petal down by sandwiching the petal between your thumb and a smooth round tool. (ie a needle tool) and slide your thumb and tool down to the end of the petal.
This is similar to curling a ribbon with scissors.

Then stack the flower shapes, glue, and stagger the petals.
I added silver seed beads to the center of mine.

I will put this info on a tab at the top of my blog.
I am working on a tutorial for the open rose, but it is kind of hard to put it into words.

This link will allow you to download the Tattered flower, basic leaves, open flower, and leaves & calyx.

Please remember these files are for personal use only. They are not to be changed and/or shared with others. They are not to be used for profit.
I would really appreciate if you would link back to my site if you publish a project on the web that includes the files I created.

Thanks
