Pink and Gray Center Step Card

I started making a Mother's Day card. I carefully selected a beautiful Prima patterned paper, Cypress Rose from the Tea Thyme collection. Ironically, the paper was a 12 by 12 and by the time I got through cutting and embellishing, you can not see much of the paper. LOL

Here is the card though.

Yes, I know I have made several cards that are this same style, but when the papers and colors are different, they look different to me. Besides, I like the style. LOL

Believe it or not, besides the top layer of patterned paper, all the other papers started as white cardstock and were colored with TH Distress Inks. I inked the card base with Black Soot then stamped over it with a script background stamp in Pumice Stone. Next I used Victorian Velvet with a little Worn Lipstick for the mat.The handmade Regal roses were made from white cardstock that was inked with those same 2 pink colors. The leaves were inked with Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, and Forest Moss.

You can see a little portion of some Recollections bling and a bow made from white seam binding and Worn Lipstick Distress Stain.

Here is a shot of the back so you can see a little of that beautiful Prima paper I started with.

I did put a lot of extra details in this card that may not be very noticeable. Then again it is a Mother's Day card so a little extra love should go into making it. :)

Mother's Day Card

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day!
With family birthday card, more wedding invitations, and Mother's Day all at once, I am just now getting a chance to show one of the cards I made for my MIL's.

It is very similar to the one I made for my mom last year.
You can see that post and get the sentiment cut files here. I just changed the colors and used my own butterfly and rose cut files this time.
(Yes, I have used this color on my last several cards, but I just bought the Aged Mahogany distress ink so I am having fun playing with it. LOL)

You can find the cut files and instructions for the step card on one of the tabs under my blog header.

Enjoy and THANKS so much for all of your lovely comments! I really appreciate them. :)

Are you ready for this?

OK ladies, drumroll please...

This may be one of my favorite cards.
The other two mother's day cards were for my in-laws. This one is for my mom.
(shhh...don't tell the in laws that I spent more time on this card)
The roses were made from white cardstock that I inked with TH Distress Ink. The cut file for the rose is Penny's. You can get her link as well as the cut files for the leaves here.

The butterfly was cut from the Cricut Home Accents cartridge. I embossed the top butterfly .

Here are the cut files for the "Happy Mother's Day" caption.

Another Mother's Day Card

OK, I know this one looks very similar to the card I posted yesterday, but I decided to show it anyway. We have 3 moms to celebrate next Sunday. So I needed to make more cards.  I used a lot of the same elements in this card but I changed them up some. The frame, bird, cage, and flourishes are one of Melin's files. (You can purchase it here) The flowers, leaves, and caption are mine.

For these flowers I ink the tattered flowers in TH Distress Ink Victorian velvet on the edges and Wild Honey in the center. I used silver seed beads in the center also.
(Hope you are not tired of seeing these flowers...I just love them)

In case you don not already have the tattered flower and leaves cut file, you can download it here.

The mom caption can be found on the post below.

PCW Mother's Day challenge

Can you believe Mother's Day is almost here?
That is actually a good thing because that means my son will be home from college soon:)
Paper Crafting World is having another cutting file challenge. The theme is Mother's Day.
Here is what I cam up with:
I used Melin's birdcage file (And bird) The mat and one of the flourishes are hers too. The flowers are mine.

I made a new flower this time. I am calling it a cabbage rose. Actually it is my tattered flowers cut file just used in a different way. I cut four flower shapes out that are all the same size and shaped them differently.
(I hope to make a video soon)

I emboss all the pieces then curl the top 2 pieces up and the bottom 2 down. \I added some deep reddish seed beads too.

I also used my flower fringer (it is a quilling tool) to make these cool flowers.
See my crinkle ribbon?

I am also entering this card in City Crafter Challenge #54

Here are the cut files for the flower and caption:
