Dragonflies and Stationer's Desk

I am still trying to use up my pretty paper stash. These papers were oldies but goodies, from Prima Stationer's Desk. I just loved these papers which is why I have held on to them for so long.

My handmade Tattered flowers were inked with TH Aged Mahogany distress ink and then I added gold gilders paste to the edges.

I used a 12 by 12 for the card base then layered 4 by6 paper stacks along with some stickers and trims.

The gold foil touches were done using Minc paint and a TH stencil. By using a stencil and paint I could get a more rustic look that is not as perfect as using my laser printer.

I even added some paint to a wooden dragonfly and foiled it

Butterflies and fairies

The pictures for this card really do not do it justice. There are light pinks and greens with playful images of animals and fairies.

I layered papers & chipboard and added foil and sequins.

You can see on the back there is another little fairy peaking out.
I finished the card off with some of my handmade flowers inked with TH Tattered Rose.

pretty yellow

All my pretty scrapbook papers are piling up. I really need to start using them. I started with this older Authentque line called Classique Beauty. There are lots of cheerful yellows that stand out well against the darker colors in the line.

I layered several papers and added a butterfly and yellow handmade flowers. Black beads were perfect for the butterfly;s body and the flower centers.

The bold colors were perfect for a get well card. I typed up the sentiment and cut it out along with a couple of mats with my new Silhouette Cameo 3. (having fun with it)

I love to add a little extra touch to the back also.

Enjot.

Hide His Word

Hello crafty friends.
I hope the first day of 2017 has been a good one for you.

I recently came across a video by MayMay Made It where she showed an scripture based art journal that she had done throughout this past year. I was inspired to start my own journal and craft along using a scripture each week. Her main focus was the scripture found in Psalms 119:11 "Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee."

I made a color page in the computer where I "hid" the Word of God in the pictures surrounded by a heart.

Here is my colored heart-art that I will be putting on the front of my journal for this year.

Feel free to download the black and white version of the file to color yourself if you are interested.

There are a few different formats and 2 different sizes.
The regular size is 5 inches wide so I could fit it in my journal.
The "large" version is about 7 3/4 inches wide.
You can always expand the image on your computer if you would like it to be even larger.

You are welcome to email me if you need help or would like me to make an even larger version. ( paper compulsions with no space at gmail dot com)

I also included an svg and a Silhouette cutting file if you would like to cut around the image.

Hope you enjoy it.

Christmas 2016

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas. I certainly enjoyed spending time with my family.

I only sent out about half as many Christmas cards this year as I normally do. I thought I would share this year's card with you. Sorry for the quality of the pictures. My camera does not play well with red. LOL

I used my Minc to foil the Poinsettia border and the sentiment. The center panel is embossed then I added gold gilder's paste over the top. Then I added my handmade Poinsettias with gold micro beads in the center.

For the inside, I used an old Stampin' Up stamp that was still on the wheel.(Remember those)

I just can't leave the back plain. I added a flat flower and an embossed strip.

Hope you enjoyed looking and have a wonderful new year filled with many blessings.
