Cards using Kaisercraft BeYoutiful papers

The Kaisercraft paper line, BeYOUtiful, is stunning.
you can check the papers out on this video.

All the lovely flowers on the patterned papers inspired me to make flowers of my own.

I usually use Neenah White 110 pound cardstock paper for my flowers.
Then I ink them with TH Distress inks or LSG sprays/
This time, I tried to use the Kaisercraft papers.

The colors are great but the paper did not hold up well
under all the shaping that I do to make the flowers.
I pieced the broken petals together but it was a labor of love.

I already have video tutorials on these flowers.
The small dark red flowers are Open Flowers. The medium yellow flowers are here.
The Large rose tutorial is offered on my sidebar.
This Open Rose tutorial includes the cut files and links to 1 1/2 hours of video instruction.

For the next card, I went back to the Neenah cardstock for the flowers.

These Loose Roses are colored with
Scattered Straw Distress Stain and Mustard Seed Distress Ink.
There is a 2 part tutorial.
Part 1     Part 2

The rest of the papers were just calling me to make more cards.
So I did. LOL

Here is an A2 sized card with yellow roses
from the Collection pack.

Here is a video showing how it came together.

I used a white card base, black mat, yellow mat, 3 by 4 cut apart card, and the rose is from the Collections pack.

And here is another A2 card

Harley Davidson Emblem

My brother in law loves motorcycles and since masculine cards are usually a challenge,
I decided copy the Harley emblem.

I used a Ranger TH Mirror sheet and black cardstock for the front
and colored cardstock for the one below.
The colored one was intended for the front but then I decided to go a different route.
I added it to the inside since I already had it.

The Harley Davidson emblem is copy righted.
I made this cut file for my own personal use.
I don't feel right about posting it as a download,
however, if a few people really want the file, you can email me and I will share.

Butterfly Stamp

The "Texture" stamp from Kaisercraft called Flutter was intended for adding texture in mixed media. It is so pretty that I decided to use it as a focal point for my card.

I stamped it twice and cut out the butterflies to layer on top with some Stickles Stardust added.

The narrow stamp needed something else. I layered it behind cardstock colored with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and added an Anna Griffin flourish stamp to each side.

See the great grid texture on this layer? That is a piece of the DCWV Woven 6 by 6 paper pad. There are white and kraft sheets in the pad. I used whited and colored it by putting Salty Ocean ink on the mat with a spritz of water and wiped the paper through it.

Love the texture.

You can get the supplies I mentioned at Scrapadabadoo.

Happy Challenge from Scrapadabadoo Crafts FB Page

There is a fun sketch challenge over on the Scrapadabadoo Crafts FaceBook page.
The challenges are just for fun and change every two weeks. (That gives me time to think of a project and actually get something made. LOL)

I used some leftover papers and embellishments from the Teresa Collins You Are My Happy line. The background papers are from one sheet in the 6 by 6 pad. That black and white striped piece is really the decorative strip from the top that usually gets cut off. The white paper with the hearts is just the other side of those fun scalloped layers.

The striped flag and the adorable elephant flag were already made and came in one of the embellishment packets. I made the third flag with a sticker that I trimmed down and a toothpick. The only toothpicks we had were colored so I just painted all the picks black.

That heart brad is just too cute!
The card came together really easily and is now ready to send a cheerful hello to a friend.

The Teresa Collins You are My Happy is on sale right now at

Feel free to drop by the
and check it out.
