Reverence Embossing Folder

Spellbinders has an embossing folder that I am just loving. It is called Reverence. There are crosses on one side and lilies on the other. For the orange and blue card. I embossed white cardstock and applied Distress ink direct to paper. On the purple card, I embossed foil paper and sanded over the raised areas. The embossing is so pretty that I did not think the card needed much embellishment. The embossing folder is 5 by 7. Since I wanted to make cards that were 5 1/2 by 8 1/2, I just cut the panel and hid the open area under ribbon or paper.

Here is another color combo where I used Stickels on the cross.

You can see more examples of cards I made using this embossing folder HERE and get the cut file for the cross pictured on the orange card HERE.

Floral Greetings

Well, I have been making cards. I just have not taken the time to post.
Here are a few cards I made for my church. I used tattered flowers, pretty flowers, and open flowers along with my butterfly.

Blinged Phone Case

My son once joked that if it sat still long enough I would decorate it. LOL
Well, I guess he is right. I was thinking that my cell phone case was a little plain. I know there are lots of cases out there that are already blinged out, but I love the way this case opens and stands up. The solution turned out to be easy. I just added some Recollections bling. I did have to make a few adjustments to make it fit right. That was an easy fix by trimming and turning the individual flourishes. The adhesive that the gems comes on was handy in transferring and keeping the design in place, but it was not strong enough to hold on something that will be handled at lot. I just put some strong craft glue on a scrap of paper and applied tiny drops of glue under each gem with a straight pin. Yes, it took a while, but hey I have time since I am still recovering. :)

I am sure I will loose a few stones along the way. I have extra bling that came from the same set so I can replace them as needed.
